It was then that a group of citizens formed a membership to fund the operations of building a nine-hole golf course, nestled in Hammond. Stocks were sold and an FHA loan was borrowed to build the course and clubhouse. The club offers many types of memberships including single, couples, student, family and seniors. This year, the club is offering a special first time golfers rate. Check rates out!
The club offers 9 and 18 hole rounds, carts to rent, a driving range, men, senior men’s, women's and couples leagues. For the amateur or getting back into the swing of things, golf lessons are offered. A youth program is also offered. See our Leagues page for more information.
The club house is a great place to relax before, after and in between rounds and offers a full bar, and food, such as burgers, pizza, fries, and cheese curds. The clubhouse can be transformed into a banquet hall to host parties, events and meetings.
The golf course is currently managed by Brandon Schurtz and the board consists of 6 board members. Tim Smith is the current board president.
The Hammond Golf Club hosts many tournaments throughout the season including their own tournament - the Big Cup Tournament - held during the week of Hammond Heartland Days. Check out the events page for up-to-date information on season tournaments.
The Clubhouse is located at 450 Davis Street in on the north side of Hammond. Call the clubhouse at 715-796-2266 or just stop by! Open daily at 7am during the season.
